SHG SPECIAL EVENTS

In addition to our Regular Friday Night Gig, the Study Hall Gang holds dozens of Special Events each year.  Most of these are originated by the group's Events Committee and are designed to appeal to a wide range of interests.  Some of our events are small, intimate gatherings (a creative writing workshop, a pop art history seminar, a group archery lesson), others are large dance parties featuring catered meals and an open bar (the Mardi Gras Masquerade Party, the Halloween Dance Party, the End of Summer Bash, and the New Year's Eve Gala), and others draw upon our competitive nature (the Chili Cook-Off, and the Story Slam).  The Events Committee takes great pride in developing low cost, innovative activities for all the Gang to enjoy.

But that's not all.  The Study Hall Gang also has special interest subgroups headed by independent Managers, and each of those subgroups develop and hold events throughout the year.  The Study Hall Book club, for instance, selects readings and holds discussion sessions every 6 to 8 weeks.  SHG Operation Give organizes charity functions. SHG Stepbrothers holds events designed for the guys, like a night of billiards, or poker.  

As a Study Hall Gang Member, you're invited to partake in ALL of these events.
